Andre Fuad Degas has written and directed a diverse array of films over the past 20 years. His first film, First Coda—based on a short story by Samuel Beckett entitled First Love—was selected for several European Film Festivals and traveled with a slate of American Art House filmmakers, including Amos Poe and Jim Jarmusch.

His first feature-length film, American Autobahn—a road movie about a German journalist looking to escape his dangerous and turbulent life in the New York City underworld—was distributed by Sony Software in Europe and the United States.

Degas then wrote and co-produced the prison drama Condition Red for director Mika Kaurismaki. Starring James Russo, Cynda Williams and Paul Calderon, Condition Red screened in Cannes and Moscow and was shown worldwide by The Overseas Film Group and shown on Cinemax in the USA.

Degas then made the Television Drama The Kitchen, produced by ITVS and Jodi Lahaye. The Kitchen aired on PBS and garnered nine million viewers.

In addition to his film work, Degas wrote the theatrical drama The House of Charity. He is based in New York City where he works as producer and editor for television networks including Lifetime, MTV2, and CBS.
